Our Story
About Bendita Arepa
In the mountains of Antioquia, Colombia, corn has always been much more than food. It represents family, abundance, honest work, and connection around the table. Bendita Arepa was born from that heritage.
We grew up watching our mothers and grandmothers cook with love for large families, where every recipe carried history, effort, and heart. From an early age, we learned that feeding someone is a sacred act — a way of caring, connecting, and making people feel welcomed at the table.
With the entrepreneurial spirit that has guided our family for generations, and after years of sacrifice, immigration, and hard work, we dreamed of bringing the authenticity of Colombian cuisine and the cultural richness of corn to the United States.
In 2018, we opened the doors of Bendita Arepa with one clear vision: to create a warm and human space where people could feel at home while enjoying real, handcrafted food made with intention.
Every arepa, every pastry, and every dish represents our Antioquian countryside roots, our respect for ingredients, our family traditions, and our desire to nourish with consciousness.
Today we continue growing with the dream of bringing our culture to more tables while preserving the Colombian flavors that remind us where we come from and who we are.
At Bendita Arepa, we do not simply serve food. We serve tradition, warmth, and the heart of our handcrafted Colombian roots to your table.
